Virat Kohli to step down as RCB skipper after ongoing IPL season

Bangalore: Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli will step down as Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper at the end of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League.

However, he said he will continue to play as a player for the rest of his IPL career for RCB.

He made the announcement and said: "This will be my last IPL as captain of RCB."

Virat Kohli's announcement:

"I’ll continue to be an RCB player till I play my last IPL game. I thank all the RCB fans for believing in me and supporting me," he said.

Recently, he had announced he will quit as Indian Team's T20 skipper after the upcoming World T20.
