Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni post IPL match chat video goes viral

Bengaluru/IBNS: The bonding of two Indian cricket greats Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni was evident once again after the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on Monday.

After the high-scoring nailbiter, Kohli and Dhoni were spotted having a friendly chat near the boundary lines.

The video, which went viral on social media, was posted on the official handle of IPL.

However on the cricket field, CSK skipper MS Dhoni had the last laugh restricting RCB to 218/8 in 20 overs after posting 226/6 in the same number of overs.

Chasing a mammoth target of 227, RCB lost early wickets but they counter-attacked with aggressive knocks by Faf du Plessis (62 off 33 balls) and Glenn Maxwell (76 off 36 balls).

The two batters stitched a 126-run partnership for the third wicket. But their dismissals in quick succession once again landed RCB on a spot of bother.

Dhoni's clinical captaincy and regular fall of RCB's wickets dented Faf-led team's hope for a win at home as the hosts ended at 218/8 in 20 overs despite late firing by wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik's 14-ball 28.
