Mumbai/IBNS: The 16th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) could not fulfill the long cherished dream of Royal Challengers Bangalore to win the trophy as the south Indian franchise crashed out of the cash-rich T20 tournament on Sunday.

Despite Kohli's century, Bangalore could not restrain Gujarat Titans who won the match dashing the hopes of the home side.

Post debacle, Kohli and his wife Anushka return home as the couple were spotted at the Mumbai airport on Monday.

While Kohli was carrying a bag on his shoulder, Anushka was seen with a flask and her mobile phone.

Bangalore's defeat ensured Mumbai Indians' berth in the IPL playoffs which will kickstart on Wednesday.

Chasing 198 set by Bangalore who were powered by Kohli's 101 not out, Shubman Gill (104 not out off 52 balls) ensured Gujarat's victory by six wickets.

Table topper Gujarat will take on MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday.
