Venus Williams reaches French Open third round

Paris, May 31 (IBNS): US tennis star Venus Williams has moved to the third round of the Paris Open for 14th time.

The star palyer, who is currently ranked 11th in the world, defeated world No.90 Kurumi Nara.

Williams defeated her opponent 6-3, 6-1 to move to the third round of the tournament.

“It's always a joy when you can control the match. The first set she played well, just amazing defense and offense,” Williams, who claimed a 250th Grand Slam main draw win, was quoted as saying by French Open website.
