U15 Youth League: Pune FC gear up for their first-ever away test, face Steadfast Academy

| | Nov 15, 2015, at 07:50 pm
Pune, Nov 15 (IBNS) Pune FC will be hoping to build on their impressive start to the campaign when they travel away for the first time to face Steadfast Football Academy in the Under-15 Youth League at the All Saints School Ground in Bhiwandi.
The Second Round Maharashtra Zone clash will be a massive one for the Under-15s as it will be the first time they travel outside Pune for a competitive game.

Speaking on the eve of the clash, Pune FC Under-15 Coach Mohan Dass said, “The match against Steadfast is an important one. It will be our first away game and although the boys are excited, we need to be cautious in our approach.”

Both teams come into this game on the back on contrasting results. While Pune FC hammered DSK Shivajians 7-0 at home, Steadfast were on the receiving end going down 1-8 to PIFA Colaba. However, the clash between the two sides will not be an easy one and Coach Mohan Dass wants his team to be at their best.

“We have got off to a good start but can’t take anything for granted. All teams are capable of getting results and we are playing on an artificial turf for the first time. So we will need to stay focused on the task at hand,” he further added.

On the team news front, Pune FC will be missing services of a couple of players due to personal reasons. However, the rest of the squad is fit and available for selection.
