U Mumba beat Bengal Warriors 26-18

Riding on asplendid all-round performance, U Mumba recorded a comfortable win over Bengal Warriors as they won 26-18. The Bengal Warriors had a disappointing night as their raiders and defenders struggled to get points on the board. A solid team performance laid the foundation for U Mumba’s convincing victory.

U Mumba climbed to second spot with 16 points after five games whereas Bengal Warriors remained in seventh spot with seven points from four games. Bengal Warriors failed to salvage a point as they couldn’t keep the defeat margin to less than seven points.

U Mumba defence started brightly as they led 3-1 after five minutes. RishankDevadiga took out Nilesh Shinde and MonuGoyat as U Mumba led 5-1 in the sixth minute. U Mumba inflicted an all out in the seventh minute to lead 9-3. Bengal Warriors raider struggled in the first half and scored only four points. Nitin Madane scored his first raid point in 14th minute as Bengal Warriors trailed 6-14.

Nilesh Shinde reached the landmark of 100 tackle points in Pro Kabaddi in the 16th minute. U Mumba forced the first super tackle of the match in the 19th minute and they took a seven-point lead with the score led 16-9 at the end of the first half.

U Mumba began the second half steadily and scored two points in the first five minutes to extend their lead by nine points. RishankDevadiga who scored five raid points in the first half struggled to put points on the board in the second half. Bengal Warriors slowly reduced the deficit to seven points with less than 10 minutes on the clock. But they never managed to put on a run and had to rely on solitary points which weren’t enough to trouble U Mumba.

U Mumba used their experience and got their tactics spot on as they dried up the points for Bengal Warriors. Both teams pulled off solitary points and only one all out was inflicted by U Mumba. Both attack and defence contributed fairly equally for them as U Mumba ran out comfortable winners 26-18.
