Mumbai/IBNS: Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has left a profound message in limited words for present captain Virat Kohli, who turned 33 on Friday.

On Kohli's birthday, Sehwag tweeted, "Tough times don’t last long, tough people do. A once in a generation player , wishing @imVkohli a very happy birthday and a great year ahead."

Kohli, who is the most successful contemporary Indian batsman, is presently in the UAE leading the national team in the T20 World Cup.

However, the skipper is going through some tough times as India are on the verge of crashing out of the T20 World Cup, losing the first two important matches against Pakistan and New Zealand.

Kohli, who is leading India across all formats for the last several years, has already announced stepping down as captain in the 20 overs cricket.
