Tokyo Olympics: Deepika Kumari enters quarterfinals

Tokyo/UNI: India's ace archer Deepika Kumari defeated ROC’s Ksenia Perova, to enter the quarter-finals of the women’s individual archery event at the Tokyo Olympics here on Friday.

The ace Indian archer beat her Russian rival, a two-time Olympic silver medallist, 6-5 in a shoot-off in the Round of 16 at the Yumenoshima Park Archery Field.

Deepika's next match is against top seed An San of South Korea for a place in the semis which begins at 11.30 am IST.
