Third Test: Ashwin, Mishra jolt South Africa, Proteas need 278 runs more to win match
At the end of the days play, South Africa have scored 32 runs for the loss of two wickets in their second innings, after being asked to chase 309 runs.
Ashwin removed van Zyl (5) for the fifth consecutive time in this series and Mishra trapped Tahir (8) in front.
Resuming play with their over night score of 11 runs for the loss of 2 wickets, South Africa lost wickets at regular intervals to slump at 12 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.
Only three batsmen reached the 2-figure mark, with JP Duminy (35) leading the charts. After picking up 4 wickets in the first innings, Simon Harmer contributed 13 runs with the bat. Faf du Plessis scored 10 runs.
The in-form AB de Villiers was sent back for naught by Jadeja, who picked up 4 wickets.
Ravichandran Ashwin finished with a five-for, as he gave away 32 runs in his 16 overs.
Mishra accounted for JP Duminy, as he was trapped in front by the leg spinner, unable to gauge the flight of the ball.
In their second innings, India were bowled out India for 173 runs, which helped the home side take a strong lead of 309 runs.
Imran Tahir took five wickets while Morne Morkel picked up three to destroy the Indian line-up.

Dhawan who looked comfortable, fell prey to Imran Tahir while attempting a reverse sweep, only managed to get an edge that was collected by the Proteas wicket-keeper.
Tahir then went on a rampage, as he accounted for Kohli (16), Rahane (9) and Saha (7) in subsequent overs.
With Rohit Sharma hitting Simon Harmer for a six and four, the South African captain introduced Morkel into the attack, who removed Sharma for 23.
Tahir completed proceeding by claiming Amit Mishra (14), in the process claiming five wickets for 38 runs.
