Third ODI: Australia win toss, elect to bat first against India

| @indiablooms | Mar 22, 2023, at 06:59 pm

Chennai/IBNS: Australia captain Steve Smith won the toss and elected to bat first against India in the third and last One Day International (ODI) match at MA Chidambaram Stadium here on Wednesday.

Smith said Ashton Agar will be playing in the match. David Warner comes in the team in place of Cameron Green.

India have kept the playing eleven unchanged.

India would look to erase the turbulent memory of a crushing 10-wicket defeat in the second One Day International (ODI) against Australia with a bounce back in the last of the three matches on Wednesday.

With the series being evenly balanced at 1-1, India are aiming to fix a few setbacks in the batting line up to seal the series win.

India's new batting sensation Suryakumar Yadav, who was in sublime form even a few weeks ago, is presently going through a lean patch.

The attacking right-handed batsman went out for a first-ball duck in both the ODIs against Australia and his average in the last 10 matches is also not something impressive.
