Tennis: India's Ramanathan win doubles title in Kobe Challenger

Chandigarh/UNI: Indian Ramkumar Ramanathan, partnering with Purav Rana and seeded fourth, defeated second seeded Andre Goransson of Switzerland and Christopher Rungkat of Indonesida in straight sets 7-6 (6), 6-3 in the doubles final of the $54,160 Hyogo Noah Challenger in Kobe (Japan).

The title clash lasted one hour and 28 minutes. Raja/Ramanathan service four aces and committed same number of doubles faults while keeping their first service 63 per cent in. The Indian pair saved five break points out of seven and won three out of six break points.

Goransson/Rungkat committed three double faults and they kept their first service 65 per cent in.

They saved three of six break points and won two of seven break points.

Raja/Ramanathan won 68 points in comparison to 66 by their opponents. Raja/Ramanathan earned $3100 and 80 ATP points. Goransson/Rungkat received $1800 and 48 ATP points.
