Team India head coach Rahul Dravid tests Covid-19 positive

Indian cricket head coach Rahul Dravid has tested positive for Covid-19, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said Tuesday.

Dravid tested positive during a routine test conducted ahead of the team’s departure to the UAE for Asia Cup 2022.

The coach, who has mild symptoms, will join the team once he gets a negative Covid-19 negative.

The rest of the team will assemble in the UAE Tuesday.

India will begin their Asia Cup 2022 campaign playing against arch-rival Pakistan Aug 28.
