Team India for six-match ODI series against South Africa announced, no Ashwin, Jadeja in squad

Mumbai, Dec 23 (IBNS): Selectors of the BCCI named the Indian squad for the six-match ODI series against South Africa.

Virat Kohli, who was rested for the limited overs series against Sri Lanka, has been named skipper of the squad.

Rohit Sharma, who is acting as the stand-in skipper in Kohli's absence, has been named as the deputy.

R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja could not find a place in the team.

India squad for ODI series: Virat Kohli (Captain), Rohit Sharma (Vice-Captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, Dinesh Karthik, MS Dhoni (wicket-keeper), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Shardul Thakur.
