South African cricketer David Wiese signs Kolpak deal with Sussex

London, Jan 10 (IBNS): British cricket club Sussex has signed three-year contract with South African all-rounder David Wiese.

Wiese has played six one-dayers and 20 T20 internationals for the national side.

The Kolpak signing will make the cricketer away from international cricket.

The South African had earlier played for Sussex in two separate stints last season

Wiese was quoted as saying by the club website, “I am very excited to be joining Sussex on a long term deal. I thoroughly enjoyed my stint with the club last year and it made my decision so much easier when offered to return. Sussex is an extremely ambitious club and I look forward to being part of their future."

“I would like to thank Cricket South Africa for giving me the opportunity of fulfilling my lifelong dream of representing my country in the sport I love," he said.
