Simon Katich steps down as SunRisers Hyderabad assistant coach: Reports

| @indiablooms | Feb 18, 2022, at 11:26 pm

In more worry for the south Indian franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL), former Australian cricketer Simon Katich stepped down as the assistant coach of SunRisers Hyderabad in less than two months before the beginning of the tournament, several media reports said.

Katich quit over his disagreement with the franchise on how the team was being managed, a report by 'The Australian' stated.

The report also said the former Australian batsman felt the franchise disregarded his pre-auction plans.

Earlier Trevor Bayliss and Brad Haddin also quit as the coaches.

Even Australian batsman David Warner had a fallout with the team management.

Warner was sacked as the SunRisers captain and later he was even dropped from the playing XI.

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson will lead SunRisers Hyderabad in the 2022 season.
