Shane Watson joins Sydney Thunder

Sydney, May 22 (IBNS): Australia all-rounder Shane Watson has signed with Sydney Thunder for the Big Bash League (BBL) domestic competition this season.

He tweeted: "Thrilled to be joining the @ThunderBBL family. Exciting times ahead #ThunderNation."

Watson was in India recently playing the IPL.

Sydney Thunder General Manager Nick Cummins said Watson will further strengthen the club’s batting and bowling in BBL05.

“Shane is one of the best T20 players in the world,"  Cummins was quoted as saying by the club website.
