Serena Williams recaptures number one position in WTA rankings list

Melbourne, Jan 30 (IBNS): US Tennis star Serena Williams is currently standing at the topmost position in the WTA rankings after she clinched the Australian Open title last week.

She is standing at the number one position with 7780 points.

She is followed by Angelique Kerber in the second position.

Serena replaced Angelique Kerber in the number one position following her victory at the first majr Grand Slam of the year.

Serena on Saturday defeated her sister Venus 6-4, 6-4 to win the Australian Open title.
