Serena Williams lifts Wimbledon title

London, July 9 (IBNS): American Tennis star Serena Williams continued her strong form as she defeated Germany's Angelique Kerber to lift the Wimbledon women's singles title here on Saturday.

Williams defeated her opponent 7-5 6-3.

This was her seventh Wimbledon win.

With this victory, the American equalled former Tennis star Steffi Graf's professional era record of 22 grand slam singles titles.
