SCR weightlifting team bags several medals in Sr National Championship 2019-20

Hyderabad/UNI: The weightlifting team of South Central Railway (SCR) has bagged several medals in 72nd Men’s and 35th Women’s Senior National Weightlifting Championship 2019-20 held in Kolkata from February 2 to 7.

Ms E Deexita, Ticket Collector, Secunderabad lifted 203 kilos and won Gold Medal in 59 kg category. She set new Senior National Record in Women’s Category.

Ms M V Thusmitha, Ticket Collector, Kacheguda lifted 159 kilos and won Silver Medal in 45 kg category.

Mr R V Rahul Senior Ticket Examiner, Secunderabad lifted 323 kilos and won Silver Medal in 89 kg category.

Mr Ankit Chhoker, Ticket Examiner, Vijayawada lifted 316 kilos and won Silver Medal in 109 kg category.

SCR General Manager Gajanan Mallya complimented the weightlifting Team of SCR for showing exemplary performance in 72nd Men’s and 35 th Women’s
Senior National Weightlifting Championship 2019-20 and bagging Gold Medal and Silver Medals which has made South Central Railway proud, an SCR statement here said on Tuesday.
