Samju Samnson fired a 50-ball 107 runs knock which helped India to commence their South African tour on a strong note with the visitors beating the opponent by 61 runs in the first T20 International match on Friday.

Sanju Samson smashed 107 runs to help his team score 202 runs for the loss of eight wickets against the team that India beat in T20 World Cup final to clinch it earlier this year.

Samson hammered seven boundaries and 10 sixes in his knock which helped the visitors dominate over South Africa.

Indian bowlers complete the task by bowling out South Africa for 141 runs.

While the rest of Indian batting lineup struggled, skipper Suryakumar Yadav (21) and Tilak Varma (33) contributed with their bats to help India post a dominating total on the scorecard.

Gerald Coetzee picked up three wickets for South Africa.

Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi took three wickets each that helped in destroying the opponent squad.

Pacer Avesh Khan picked up two wickets.

South Africa lost six wickets with 87 runs on the scorecard which faded the hope of the host side to recover against India.

Sanju Samson, who leads the Rajasthan Royals team in IPL, remained the key highlight for the day after striking 107 runs off 50 balls.
