Sania just a win away from becoming no.1 double player
Mirza and her doubles partner Martina Hingis survived a tough battle as they defeated Alla Kudryavtseva and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova to reach the final of the Family Circle Cup here.
Mirza and Hingis beat their opponents 6-4, 1-6, 10-7.
"It's never easy to play with the rain delay," Mirza was quoted as saying by the WTA website.
This is the third final the duo will play together.
Hingis and Mirza are now won 13 matches they have played so far.
Both had clinched the Indian Wells and Miami titles together.
The duo will face Casey Dellacqua and Darija Jurak in the final clash.
A title victory here will make Mirza the number one player in the world.
