Saina, Srikanth lose semis clashes

Dubai, Dec 20 (IBNS): In a disappointing day for Indian badminton fans, top shuttlers Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth lost their respective Badminton World Federation (BWF) Superseries Finals semi-final clashes on Saturday.

In a 55 minutes battle, Saina was defeated by World No.9 Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei.

The Indian star was defeated by her opponent in the women's singles by 21-11, 13-21, 9-21.

Chen Long of China defeated Srikanth in the male's semi-final clash by 18-21, 9-21. The match lasted for 43 minutes.
