New Delhi, Oct 8 (IBNS): Indian badminton star Saina Nehwal has confirmed that she will marry Parupalli Kashyap on Dec 16.

In fact, the Olympic medal-winning player has said it is the only date when she can take the wedding vows as she will be busy with other engagements later.

"I will get busy with the Premier Badminton League from December 20 and then qualifiers for the Tokyo Games will begin. So this was the only date that we had to get married," Saina told The Times of India.

Reports on her marriage were circulating in the media for the past couple of days.

Saina won a bronze medal at the recent Asian Games.

She is considered as one of the top badminton players to play for the country at the present moment.
