Kuala Lumpur, Apr 4 (IBNS): Indian badminton star Saina Nehwal crashed out of the Malaysia Open Super Series after losing the semi-finals clash against Li Xuerui on Saturday.

Li defeated the current world number one by 21-13, 17-21, 20-22 .

Saina failed to maintain the momentum even after winning the first set and lost the last two sets.

Saina, however, said she was 'happy' with the way she was playing at present.

"Tough match today but played very well really happy with the way I m playing. Lost in three sets 21-12 ,18-21,22-20 against li xurei," she said.

"Hope to do well in next tournament," the Olympic medalist tweeted.

"Winner in india open last week getting to number 1 in the world was amazing and semi finals in Malaysia it's been great two weeks," she tweeted.
