SAIL supports sprinter Dharambir Singh to Rio Olympics

New Delhi, July 20 (IBNS): Minister for Steel Chaudhary Birender Singh conferred the SAIL logo and felicitated Rio Olympics athlete Dharambir Singh here on Wednesday.

Minister of State for Steel Vishnu Deo Sai, Secretary, Steel,  Aruna Sundararajan and Chairman SAIL, P.K. Singh were also present on the occasion.

Chaudhary Birendra Singh, while felicitating the Olympic qualifying athlete said, “We are proud that the largest contingent of Indian athletes is participating in the Rio Olympics this time.”

Expressing confidence on sprinter Dharambir, the minister said, “We have lots of hope on his performance and wish him the very best. Since, an athlete from India is participating in 200 meter Olympic race after 1980."

SAIL is proud to support and associate with Dharamabir after recently supporting wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt for the Rio Olympics. "We will extend all support to him and look forward to a great performance in the Rio Olympics.”

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had extended his wishes to the Indian Olympic contingent.
