Roberto Carlos joins Delhi Dynamos FC as marquee player-cum-manager
Carlos joined the club and unveiled the club’s new logo for upcoming season along with Vaibhav Manchanda, Vice-President-Technical, DDFC and Prashant Agarwal, President, DDFC held at Underdoggs Sports Bar & Grill, Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj (venue partners DDFC for the Press Conference).
Delhi Dynamos FC’s marquee manager and former Brazilian star Roberto Carlos, said, “I am delighted to be part of the Delhi Dynamos team and confident that we will be able to play aggressive, skilful and positive game. I am looking forward to this stint as an opportunity to impart new playing techniques to players, hone their skills and raise their fitness levels”.
He further added “Indians have always been passionate about soccer and Brazil has always enjoyed tremendous support here, so I feel happy that I will make a meaningful contribution towards building a world class team in ISL.
On coming to India, Carlos said, “I am humbled by the immense support from Indian fans which motivated me to come here and play for Delhi Dynamos.”
Vaibhav Manchanda, Vice-President-Technical, DDFC, said, “We are thrilled to have Carlos as our marquee player-cum-manager. He is passionate, determined and has a focussed vision for the club. Carlos brings with him years of experience and I am confident that Carlos’s leadership will help us win the tournament this season.”
