Rio: Sania-Bopanna defeated in semis

Rio, Aug 14 (IBNS): India's medal hopes received a jolt when Sania MIrza and her doubles partner Rohan Bopanna lost their semi final match of the mixed doubles event of the ongoing Rio Olympics here on Saturday.

Venus Williams and Rajeev Ram  defeated the India pair 6-2, 2-6, 3-10.

Sania and Bopanna can still win a medal as they will play for the bronze medal match.
