Rio: Saina Nehwal defeated, crashes out of Olympics

Rio, Aug 14 (IBNS): In a major blow to India's hope for winning a medal, Indian badminton icon Saina Nehwal crashed out of the Olympics after she was defeated in the group stage clash of the women's singles here on Sunday.

Saina was defeated 18-21, 19-21 by Ukraine's Maria Ulitina.

She had won the bronze medal in the 2012 London Olympics.
