Rio: Abhinav Bindra finishes fourth in final

Rio de Janeiro, Aug 8 (IBNS): Fans back home were shocked and disappointed as Indian shooter Abhinav Bindra slipped from winning the bronze medal as he finished at the fourth spot in the final of the 10m air rifle event of the Olympics.

He scored  163.8 points and missed a chance to clinch a medal for the nation.

In another disappointing move, London Olympics medallist Gagan Narang also  failed as he crashed out of the qualifiers earlier.

Bindra had won the gold in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
