Ravi Shastri to continue as Indian Team director till ICC World T20 2016

Mumbai, Sept 13 (IBNS) Former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri will continue as the Team director of the Indian Cricket Team till the ICC World T20 2016, the BCCI said on Sunday.

 "Acknowledging the performance of the Indian Cricket team and the efforts of the coaching staff in recent times, the CAC endorsed the extension of their tenure," the Board said in a statement.

"BCCI President Mr. Jagmohan Dalmiya and Honorary Secretary Mr. Anurag Thakur appreciated the work done by the coaching staff and accepted the decision unanimously," it said.

Mr. Ravi Shastri to continue as Team Director of the Indian cricket team, Assistant Coaches term extended

Along with Shastri, the Committee also approved the extension of the following Assistant coaches till the ICC World T20 2016: -

1.   Sanjay Bangar (Assistant Coach- Batting)

2.   B. Arun (Assistant Coach- Bowling)

3.   R. Sridhar (Assistant Coach- Fielding)

The CAC of the BCCI consists of former India captains Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, former Test cricketer VVS Laxman, BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya and Secretary Anurag Thakur.
