Rajkot Test: India 649/9 dec in first innings; Shaw-Kohli-Jadeja hit ton

Rajkot, Oct 5 (IBNS): Three centuries from debutant Prithvi Shaw, skipper Virat Kohli and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja enabled India to score 649 runs for the loss of nine wickets (declared) in the first innings of the opening Test match against Windies at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium here on Friday.

Kohli and Jadeja scored 139 and unbeaten 100 respectively on the second day of the Test match.

Debutant Shaw got his hundred on the first day. He scored 134 runs off 154 balls.

Apart from the trio, Rishabh Pant (92) and Ajinkya Rahane (41) also made major contributions to their team.

Devendra Bishoo was the best bowler for Windies. He picked four wickets for his team.
