Rajasthan Royals lose to Rishabh Pant-powered Delhi Capitals, crash out of IPL

New Delhi, May 4 (IBNS): Rajasthan Royals crashed out of the 12th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) after going down to Delhi Capitals by five wickets at the Feroz Shah Kotla here on Saturday.

In reply to Rajasthan's 115/9, Pant led Delhi's run chase by hitting an unbeaten 53 off 38 balls as the hosts scored the required runs 23 balls left.

Pant went after the Rajasthan bowlers as he hammered five sixes and two fours to craft his innings.

Sikhar Dhawan and skipper Shreyas Iyer contributed 16 and 15 to speed up the chase.

Except Riyan Paraj's 50, Rajasthan, which finished the tournament at the sixth position with 11 points, have little to look back to the match.

Delhi, which had already qualified for the semi finals. finished as second with 18 points.
