Q/F: India faces Bangladesh challenge tomorrow
Despite poor show during the Test series against Australia and then in the tri-series, Indian side have made a strong turn-around as they won all their six group stage matches of the World Cup to finish at the top of Pool B and book a seat in the quarter-finals.
Indian batsmen and bowlers have so far put up a good show with even pacers-Mohammad Shami, Umesh Yadav and Mohit Sharma- performing well in all the group stage matches.
R Ashwin gave away some runs against Zimbabwe but have been tight in his approach and made the batsmen struggle to get runs against him.
Indian team will once again be wanting the four key bowlers to deliver in this match against a side which had once surprised the 'Men in Blue' by beating them in the 2007 World Cup in West Indies.
The batting line-up with MS Dhoni, Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina and Ajinkya Raina looks promising enough to produce another memorable show and ensure a semi-final berth for the country which had defeated Bangladesh in 2011 World Cup.
Bangladesh will surely not let India easily slip away with a win as the Asian side, which had made a mark in the stage of world cricket by beating Pakistan in 1999 World Cup, have made it beyond the group stage of the 50-over mega tournament for the first time.
Beating England to qualify to the quarter-finals was surely a high point in Bangladesh's World Cup campaign so far.
The side again showed their brilliance and hunger for victory when they gave New Zealand a scare in their last group stage match last week.
Bangladesh had shattered India's World Cup campaign in 2007 by beating them in a group stage clash while they had again defeated their neighbours in the last Asia Cup.
Bangladesh will depend heavily on Mahmadullah, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Sabbir Rahman and Soumya Sarkar in this match and hope to see them clicking with their willows.
Mashrafe Mortaza ,Taskin Ahmed Shakib and Rubel Hossain will be taking charge of the bowling attack to destroy the strong Indian batting line-up.
Ahead of the match, India's Suresh Raina was quoted as saying by bcci.tv: “We are not taking Bangladesh lightly.”
Bangladesh skipper Mortaza said his team need to 'bowl and bat' well to win the match against India.
