Qatar: Grand FIFA World Cup ceremony starts mega football event, BTS star Jung Kook wins hearts

Al Khor: The grand opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup, which is taking place in Qatar for the first time in the history of the tournament was held on Sunday amid cheers of amused fans.

Qatar had created history when it defeated bids made by  South Korea, Japan, Australia and the United States to host the tournament and got the opportunity to host the mega event.

One of the major events of the opening ceremony was BTS star Jung Kook performing in the grand event as fans were left mesmerised and charged up by his electrifying performance.

He stole the show at the Al Bayt Stadium by singing his new track 'Dreamers'.

Hollywood star Morgan Freeman, who was part of the event, stole the show with his message of hope, unity and tolerance.

The first match of the event is currently being played between Ecuador and Qatar.
