PV Sindhu,Sakshi Malik,Dipa Karmakar, Jitu Rai receive Khel Ratna from President

New Delhi, Aug 29 (IBNS): Four Indian athletes- PV Sindhu,Jitu Rai,Sakshi Malik and Dipa Karmakar- were conferred with the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award by President Pranab Mukherjee here on Monday.

Wrestler Sakshi clinched bronze while badminton sensation PV Sindhu won silver in the recently concluded Rio Olympics.

Dipa missed out on a Bronze medal but made history by becoming the first female Indian gymnast to participate in the Olympics and made a final round entry.

Sindhu tweeted: "Here it is ...Receiving Rajiv khel Ratna award from hon'ble president at rashtrapati Bhavan..#awardceremony."
