President confers Virat Kohli with Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award

New Delhi, Sept 25 (IBNS): Indian President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday presented the National Sports Awards for 2018  here.

The ceremony was held in Rashtrapati Bhavan.

During the ceremony, World champion weightlifter Saikhom Mirabai Chanu and Captain of Indian cricket team Virat Kohli received the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award.

Kohli is currently in India.

He has been rested from playing the Asia Cup.

Rohit Sharma is captaining the Indian side in his place.
