President condoles passing away of Jagmohan Dalmiya

New Delhi, Sept 21 (IBNS): President of India Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the passing away of former ICC president and current chief of the BCCI Jagmohan Dalmiya.
In his message, the President has said, “I am sad to learn about the passing away of Shri Jagmohan Dalmiya. Shri Dalmiya was a visionary and well known leader of Indian cricket. As the President of Board of Control for Cricket in India, he played major role in bringing cricket world cup to India," he said in his statement.
 
"Shri Dalmiya was an industrialist whose contribution to the establishment of various industrial and business enterprises helped in national development as well as created employment opportunities for thousands of our people," Mukherjee said.
 
"In his death, the nation has lost a personality who brought Indian cricket as well as Indian industry to greater heights. He shall always be remembered for his untiring hard work and devotion to any activity that he took up," said he.
 
Dalmiya's end came at around 8-45 pm in the B M Birla Heart Research Centre where he was undergoing treatment since Thursday following his admission after a chest pain.
