Lahore, Feb 23 (IBNS): With two back-to-back defeats in the ongoing World Cup, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has accepted for hearing a petition filed against the poor show by the Pakistani side in the 50-over mega cricket event, media reports said on Monday.

In the case, the petitioner has  nominated country's Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shahryar Ahmed Khan and PCB’s board member Najam Sethi as respondents, reports said.

"The petition filed by Advocate Rizwan Gul has questioned the team’s dismal performance in the World Cup 2015 and has asked the court to investigate the possible causes behind the collapse. LHC judge, Justice Ijazul Hassan will hear the case on February 24," Dawn News reported.

Pakistan have lost their first two matches, including their opening clash against India, in the World Cup so far.

Disappointed fans were seen damaging television sets in the Asian nation after their national side suffered defeats against India and West Indies.
