New Delhi/IBNS: India's medal tally at present stands at 29 with Navdeep Singh and Simran winning a medal each in their respective disciplines at Paris Paralympics 2024.

Navdeep clinched a silver in the men's javelin F41 final with his personal best throw of 47.32m.

However, minutes later his medal was upgraded to gold as Iran's Sadegh Beit Sayah, who bagged the top spot earlier, was disqualified from the event for misconduct.

Meanwhile, Simran won bronze in the women's 200m T12 race.

Of the 29 medals in India's kitty, seven are gold.

India is presently in 16th position with its best-ever performance in the Paralympics.
