Pakistan cricket team return home, receive heroic welcome

Islamabad, June 20 (IBNS): Pakistani side received a heroic welcome as they returned home on Tuesday with the Champions Trophy.

Amid tight security, the cricketers landed in Pakistan where they were warmly greeted by countrymen.

The players were reportedly welcomed with garlands as fans were seen chanting patriotic songs to mark the memorable moment.

Pakistan defeated neighbours India by 180 runs in the final of the Champions Trophy to lift the cup.

Captain Sarfraz Ahmed reached Karachi city where fans lined up to welcome their cricket hero.

"Karachi welcomes @SarfarazA_54, what incredible scenes! Champions return home #CT17 #AikJeetAur," PCB official tweeted.
