Not the end of the world if we don't qualify: MS Dhoni on CSK's IPL playoff chances

Mumbai/IBNS: Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings may have demolished Delhi Capitals last night but the yellow brigade still have a long, tough road to reach the Indian Premier League (IPL) playoffs.

However, Dhoni is not bothered much.

Speaking on Chennai's prospect of reaching the playoffs, Dhoni said, "If we make the playoffs, great. But even if we don't it's not the end of the world."

Chennai, who had a disastrous IPL start this year under then skipper Ravindra Jadeja, moved to the eighth position with their big win over Delhi.

The yellow brigade will still have to win the next three matches and wait for the results of other matches to reach the playoffs.

A straight cut Dhoni is certainly not interested in calculating the net run rates to analyse Chennai's prospect.

"I am not a big fan of maths. Even in school, I wasn't good at it. Thinking of the net run-rate doesn't help. You just want to enjoy the IPL. When two other teams are playing, you don't want to be under pressure and thinking. You just have to think about what to do in the next game," the skipper said.
