NBA Jam reaches Kolkata this week

Kolkata, Jan 19 (IBNS) The largest 3-on-3 college basketball and youth festival ever held in India, NBA Jam powered by Jabong.com, will travel to St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata on Jan 22 and 23.

After traveling to Jalandhar, Ahmedabad, Kanpur, Goa, Bhubaneswar, Jamshedpur and Lucknow, the touring basketball festival will travel to Bhopal, Nagpur, Surat, Coimbatore, Chennai, Guwahati, Bangalore, Kharagpur, Hyderabad, Pune, Kochi, Kozhikode, Delhi and Mumbai. Kolkata is the eighth of 24 cities which the event will travel to with over 3,500 teams participating across the country.

The National Basketball Association (NBA) and SONY SIX have partnered to bring the event back to India for the third consecutive year.

Actor and VJ Rannvijay Singha will be engaging youth in Kolkata on Jan 22 to grow the game of basketball and drive participation in NBA Jam.  Fans in Kolkata will also have the opportunity to play with Rannvijay and get their picture taken with the actor.

St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, will witness more than 100 teams participating in the 3-on-3 tournament. With many colleges participating, NBA Jam powered by Jabong.com will be the largest 3-on-3 tournament ever to take place in the city.
