Mustafizur likely to spark BBL club's interest

Sydney, May 9 (IBNS): Riding on his IPL performance, Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman can soon come in the radar of Big Bash League (BBL) cricket franchises to finalise their lists for the next season of the tournament.

A bidding war might be seen for the next edition of the tournament as clubs will be eyeing to take the pacer.

The Bangladesh cricketer has performed quite strongly for his IPL side Sunrisers Hyderabad  in this season of the tournament in India.

"Seven BBL clubs have at least one overseas vacancy for BBL|06 – only the Melbourne Stars have already filled their quota with English pair Luke Wright and Kevin Pietersen signed on – and the Melbourne Renegades may have got an early jump on their rivals in the race for Mustafizur," read a report on the Cricket Australia website.

"The Bangladeshi's IPL coach Tom Moody is a director at the Renegades, who currently have two overseas spots available on their list, although one is expected to be taken by the return of West Indies allrounder Dwayne Bravo," read the report.
