Mumbai Indians appoints Bond as bowling coach

Mumbai, Jan 9 (IBNS): Mumbai Indians on Friday appointed former Zew Zealand pacer Shane Bond as their bowling coach.

Bond on the same day announced his decision to quit as bowling coach of New Zealand after the ICC World Cup 2015.

Mumbai Indians tweeted: "Paltan lets have a huge cheer for our new bowling coach. The Kiwi will work alongside Ricky, @JontyRhodes8 & Robin."

Bond had played the cash-rich tournament for Kolkata Knight Riders in 2010.

Commenting on his upcoming assignment Shane was quoted as saying by iplt20.com, “its’ my privilege to be associated with the most highly regarded franchise in IPL. I look forward to bring in my cricketing experience to work along with Ricky and the team.”
