Melbourne/UNI: World Cup-winning India superstar MS Dhoni has been named the captain of the ODI Team of the decade while Virat Kohli has been named captain of the Test XI by Cricket Australia's official news website.

Three Indians are the part of the ODI playing XI, which includes some of the best one-day players of the 2010s.

Apart from MS Dhoni, India captain Virat Kohli and opener Rohit Sharma also find a place in the team of the decade. Rohit opens along with Hashim Amla in CA's team and Kohli, as usual, comes at No 3, 'cricket.com.au' posted.

MS Dhoni, who led India to World World titles, in 2007 and 2011, also handles the wicketkeeping duties in CA's ODI team.

Having represented India in 350 ODIs, 90 Tests and 98 T20Is, Dhoni has scored 17,266 international runs, which includes 10,773 runs in the 50-over format.

He has also affected a staggering 829 dismissals from behind the stumps.

Notably, Virat Kohli features both the Test and ODI teams. The 31-year-old has arguably been the best batsman over the last decade. He has already amassed 70 international hundreds and is only behind Ricky Ponting (71) and Sachin Tendulkar (100).

Kohli, who averages more than 50 in all formats, is also third in the list of leading run-scorers of all time with 21,444 runs, behind Ponting (27,483) and Tendulkar (34,357).

He is also the only Indian cricketer to have found a spot in Cricket Australia's Test team of the decade.

Teams:

Cricket Australia's Test team of the decade: Virat Kohli (c), Alastair Cook, David Warner, Kane Williamson, Steve Smith, Ab de Villiers (wk), Ben Stokes, Dale Steyn, Stuart Broad, Nathan Lyon, James Anderson.

Cricket Australia's ODI team of the decade: MS Dhoni (c & wk), Rohit Sharma, Hashim Amla, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Shakib Al Hasan, Jos Buttler, Rashid Khan, Mitchell Starc, Trent Boult, Lasith Malinga.
