Monks, soldiers, and international participants join Bodh Gaya Marathon

A large number of people, including soldiers and monks, participated in the Bodh Gaya Marathon which was organised by the International Buddhist Confederation and Bodh Gaya Marathon Committee in Bihar's Bodh Gaya town on Sunday.

The flag-off ceremony was presided over by Tai Situpa Rinpoche, Lt Gen. P.S. Minhas, AVSM, Comdt. OTA, Bodhgaya and DG IBC Abhijit Halder, ANI reported.

The event witnessed the participation of runners from different countries including Korea, Hong Kong, London, Bhutan and Kenya.

The marathon was held in several categories spanning from 42.195 kilometers, 21.097 kilometers, 10 kilometers (time-bound), and a 5-kilometer Dhamma run.
