New Delhi, June 24 (IBNS) Libero Sports client and Shillong Lajong Football Club's North Korean central defender, Minchol Son has been invited to be part of the North Korean National Team Training Camp prior to the 2014 Asian Games which will be held in Incheon, South Korea.

After being called up for the National Team Training Camp, an elated Son was quoted as saying “I am extremely happy that all my efforts and hard work over the past couple of seasons have been noticed by the North Korean National Team Management. I am delighted to have been called up to the National Team Training Camp. I will make sure that I give my best during this camp, and hope to represent my country in the 2014 Asian Games.”

Son has been with Shillong Lajong FC since the 2012/13 season, and has put in some dominant performances for his club since joining them. Son helped Shillong Lajong FC to a respectable 6th position in the 2013/14 Airtel I-League and made vital contributions to the team throughout the season.

Everyone at Shillong Lajong Football Club would like to congratulate him on getting called up to the North Korean National Team Training Camp, and we hope that he makes the final squad.”

Minchol Son’s FIFA Licensed agent and Libero Sports Partner, Arvind Narayan said “Minchol has put in some solid displays for his club, and fully deserves to be called up for this training camp. I am sure he will be part of the North Korean National Team soon.”
