Military-police bicycle expedition flagged off from Faizabad

New Delhi, Sept 12 (IBNS) The Indian Army on Friday said the Corps of Military Police of the Indian Army is embarking on a bicycle expedition to commemorate their 'Platinum Jubilee'.

The expedition was flagged off from Faizabad on Friday.

The team is led by Lt Col Harbaksh Singh Dham who is accompanied by Col S Kahol and a team of 13 Military Police personnel. 

"They will traverse a distance of around 3000 kms through five States.  The expedition will reach their ‘Alma Mater’ at Bangalore in October 2014, where they will be flagged in by Lt Gen Gurmit Singh,  the Adjutant General of the Indian Army," read a statement issued by the Army.

"The expedition while braving vagaries of weather and terrain will connect with military veterans enroute, resolve their problems and spread the message of jointness and unity in diversity," it said.
