Mumbai, May 8 (IBNS): Mumbai Indians have roped in pacer Praveen Kumar to the side as a replacement to senior fast bowler Zaheer Khan.

Zaheer, who suffered a severe side strain during an IPL match recently, has been ruled out of the rest of the cash-rich tournament.

Welcoming Kumar to the side, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma tweeted: "Welcome mate good to have you!!!"

Mumbai Indians are the current champions.

The side is currently standing on the sixth position in the points table with 2 wins from seven outings.
