Last remaining tickets for ICC Champions Trophy are released

The remaining tickets for all matches – including popular fixtures such as India v Pakistan, England v Australia and the final - will be released on general sale to fans on following final handbacks from tournament stakeholders that includes sponsors, ICC family and travel providers.

There are tickets for all 15 matches in the tournament as ICC and ECB have ensured that as many tickets as possible go to the cricket fans for the event in England and Wales.

Demand for the 50-over event, which starts when hosts England against Bangladesh at The Oval on 1 June, has already surpassed sales at this point for the 2013 tournament.

Steve Elworthy, ICC Champions Trophy 2017 Tournament Director, said: “There has been record demand for this event and so we, as organisers, felt that it was vital to provide as many fans as possible with the chance to see the best eight best teams in the world compete against each other.

“Tickets will be available for all the matches in the ICC Champions Trophy, which will be held at The Oval, Edgbaston and Cardiff next month. Like all tickets for this tournament, there will be a great amount of interest so I urge fans to make their purchases as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

“Again we stress that fans to only buy tickets from authorised ticket sites, which is why we are providing a resale service via www.icc-cricket.com/tickets. It will allow fans to sell any unwanted tickets at face value to fellow fans in a safe and secure way. This is the only way you guarantee a ticket and avoid disappointment.”

Fans can sell any tickets they have purchased and no longer require through the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 resale service. So far, over 1,000 tickets have been posted on the website and will be available for other fans to buy. It is a safe and secure process which ensures that tickets are sold at face value to fellow fans.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2017 sees the top eight-ranked ODI sides on the MRF Tyres ICC ODI Team Rankings as on 30 September 2015 go head-to-head in a short and sharp, nation versus nation tournament from 1-18 June at three iconic cricket venues in England & Wales.

The Oval will stage the opening match of the tournament on 1 June as well as the final on 18 June. Cardiff Wales Stadium will host four matches, including the first semi-final on 14 June, while Edgbaston will host five matches, including the India v Pakistan and Australia v England matches as well as the second semi-final.
